• Take fresh water; do not re-boil water

  • To prepare Green, Oolong or White tea, allow water to cool down slightly; recommended temperature is about 85 degrees Celsius

  • A bit of trial and error may be required initially to decide about the amount of tea leaves to use and the time to steep

  • To steep tea, you can also use a tea ball or mesh infuser (usually made of stainless steel) instead of strainer

  • For a stronger cup, add more leaves; don’t oversteep

  • Quantity of Oolong needed per cup is higher than for Black tea

  • Avoid adding milk to Green or Orthodox tea
